mù xìng téng shàng ér wú suŏ zhĭ, qì zhòng zé yù jīn rèn shĭ.
The nature of wood is growing upward [getting higher and higher] and knows no boundary to stop, when [the growth of wood] qi thrives as such, [wood] desires [/needs] metal to be relied on [/controlling the wood growth].

mù yŏu jīn zé yŏu wéi gāo wéi liàn zhī dé.
When wood has metal presence, it denotes high nobility [?].

réng ài tŭ zhòng, zé gēn pán shēn gù, tŭ shăo zé yŏu zhī mào gēn wéi zhī huàn.
In that case [thriving growth], it likes to meet abundant earth [Qi] as well, so the root can occupy [the earth] by penetrating deep within [give wood firmer foundation], in case earth is inadequate while wood has luxurious growth of branches causing the roots not sturdy enough [to support such thriving growth], it denotes a [hidden] danger.

mu lai shui sheng, shao ze zi run, duo zi piao liu.
Wood depends on water to [support] [its] growth, in proper dose [,] [water] [is able] to provide moisture, [however] excessive water will drift the wood away.

生木得火而秀,丙丁相同;
Living wood depends on fire [to help it] blossoms, Bing [and] Ding all the same.

si mu de jin er zao. geng xin bi li.
Dead wood meets metal to be turned [into a woodcraft], Geng [and] Xin all the same.

shēng mù jiàn jīn zì shāng, sĭ mù de huŏ zì fén.
Living wood meets metal will be hurt, dead wood meets fire will be burnt.

wú fēng zì zhǐ, qí shì luàn yě.
[When] the wind blows, its appearance will become a mess.

yù shuǐ fǎn huà qí yuán, qí shì jìn yě.
[When] meets water [,] [water] will be used-up, exhausts its power as well.

jīn mù xiāng děng, gé wèi duàn lún.
[When] [both] metal [and] wood is equal [in strength], this condition is known as halting rotation.

ruò xiàng qiū shēng, fǎn wéi shāng fǔ, shì qiū shēng jì jīn zhòng yě.
When born just before autumn, [wood] on the contrary could breaking the small axe, only in autumn it fears the metal power.

yīn mù zhòng huǒ, shé biàn néng yán.
Yin Wood with vibrant fire, it denotes [a person] exceptionally eloquent.

xǐ huǒ wēn yù, bié wú pán qū zhī jū.

jiè shuǐ zī fú ér yǒu shū chàng zhī měi.

chūn chū wéi yí shuǐ shèng, yīn nóng zé gēn sǔn zhī kū.

chūn mò yáng qì fán zào, wú shuǐ zé yè jié gēn gān, shì yǐ shuǐ huǒ èr wù jì jì fāng jiā.

yù qí shuǐ shèng  ér chéng zī rùn zhī lì  chéng bù kě shǎo.

jì qí huǒ wàng  ér zhāo fén huà zhī yōu  gù dú wéi xiōng.

xǐ tǔ zài bó  bù yí chóng hòu  hòu zé fǎn wéi zāi jiù.

[Second Chapter - About Fire Bing Ding]

1
yán yán zhēn huŏ, wèi zhèn nán fang, gù huŏ wú bù míng zhī lĭ.
The true fire is extremely scorching, it is the guardian of the south palace, thus ever-radiating is the essence of fire.

huī guāng bù jiŭ, quán yào fú cáng, gù míng wú bù miè zhī xiàng.
[In above case] the glaring light [of fire] comes shortly after, it needs to be obstructed, thus the image is the light being exterminated (?).

huŏ yĭ mù wéi tĭ, wú mù zé huŏ bù cháng yàn.
Fire depends on wood as its body, lack of wood [cause] the fire [flame] won’t live for long.

huŏ yĭ shuĭ wéi yòng, wú shuĭ zé huŏ tài kù liè.
Fire depends on water to be usable, lack of water cause the fire [flame] will be extremely violent.

gù huŏ duō zé bù shí, tài liè zé shāng wù.
Thus, in case of excessive fire it becomes unreal (?), overly fierce hurting the myriad things (?).

mù néng cáng huŏ, dào yín măo ér fāng shēng.
Wood has the capability of conserving the fire [ember], [it is the case when] arriving at Yin [or] Mao, [they are also] the fire [phase]’s palace of birth.

huŏ bù lì xī, yù shēn yŏu ér bì sĭ.
West is unfavorable [palace] for fire, at shen [or] you [fire] is [certainly] dead.

shēng jū lí wèi, guŏ duàn yŏu wéi, ruò jū kăn gōng, jĭn wèi shŏu lĭ.
Occupying the Li palace, decisive and promising, occupying the Kan palace, prudent and conservatives.

jīn de huŏ hé, zé néng róng zhù, shuĭ de huŏ hé, zé chéng jì jì.
Metal get fire to combine, it smelts metal enabling it to be molded, water get fire to combine, becomes beneficial.

yù tŭ bù míng, duō zhŭ jiăn sāi, féng shuĭ wàng chŭ, jué dìng wéi róng.
Earth hindering the fire shine, coping with misfortune, meeting prosperous water, honor is assured.

mu si huo xu, nan de yong jiu, zong zao gong ming, bi bu jiu chang.
[In case] Wood is dead fire [becomes] hollow, [it’s flame] hardly survive for long, even has scholarly honour rank in the beginning, it won’t long-lasting.

chun ji jian mu, e qi fen ye.
In spring, [fire] fears to meet wood, it becomes evil burning [fire].

xia ji jian tu, e qi an ye.
In summer, [fire] fears to meet earth, it becomes evil darkness.

qiu ji jian jin, jin wang nan ke zhi.
In autumn, [fire] fears to meet metal, [when] metal is too prosperous[,] it is hard to control [by fire].

dong ji jian shui, shui wang ze mie xing.
In winter, [fire] fears to meet water, [when] water is too prosperous [it] extinguish the [fire] shape.

gu chun huo yu ming bu yu yan, yan ze bu shi.
Thus, spring fire want to shine not blazing, when blazing [it becomes] unreal.

qiu huo yu cang bu yu ming, ming ze zao.
Autumn fire needs to be impeded, not to be bright, when bright it becomes dry.

dong huo yu sheng bu yu sha, sha ze an.
Winter fire [flame] need to be kept alive and not being killed [extinguished], when killed it becomes dark.

2A
shēng yú chūn yuè, mŭ wàng zĭ xiāng, shì lì bìng xíng.
In spring season, the mother [/wood] is prosperous and the son [/fire] is mutually strong, their power will mutually support each other.

xĭ mù shēng fú, bù yí guò wàng, wàng zé huŏ yán.
[It] prefers living wood to assist, but not in prosperous stage, when prosperous makes fire flame blazing.

yù shuĭ jì jì, bù chóu xìng sheng, shèng zé zhān ēn.
Meets water benefit, .

[Third Chapter - About Earth Wu Ji]

1
wŭ xíng zhī tŭ, săn zài sì wéi.
The earth phase of the ‘five element’, separated into the four directions [i.e. northeast, southeast, northwest, and southwest].

gù jīn mù shuĭ huŏ yī ér chéng xiàng, shì sì shí jiē yŏu yòng.
Thus, implying [earth] dependency on metal, wood, water, [and] fire, in the all four seasons each of them [metal, wood, water, [and] fire] has its own use.

suŏ jì zhĕ, huŏ sĭ yŏu yĕ, shuĭ wàng zĭ yĕ.
The [palace which earth] fears, is the You [palace] [where] fire is dead and Zi [palace] [where] water is prosperous.

gài tŭ lài huŏ yìn, huŏ sĭ zé tŭ qiú; tŭ xĭ shuĭ cái, shuĭ wàng tŭ xū.
Earth depends on fire [as] its resource, when fire is dead earth [gets] trapped; Earth likes water [as] its wealth, [however] [when] water [is] [too] prosperous earth [will be] overly loosened [mud-like soil].

tu de jin huo fang cheng da ku.
Earth encountering metal fire palace will turn into treasures.

tu gao wu gui, kong re hui chen.
When earth is high is not noble, hollow [inside] like irritating dust.

tu ju ze zhi, tu san ze qing.
When earth accumulates [heaps up] it becomes sluggish, when dispersed it becomes gentle.

chen xu chou wei, tu zhi zheng wei, fen yin fen yang, tu ze bu tong.
Chen-Xu-Chou-[and] Wei are the proper palace for earth; two of them are yin[,] two of them are yang, they are not the same [earth].

chen you fu shui, wei you ni mu, zi yang wan wu, chun xia wei gong.
[Inside] chen there is hidden water, [inside] wei there is hidden wood, nourish the myriad things, in spring [or] summer indicates achievement.

xu you cang huo, chou you yin jin, qiu huo dong jin, su sha wan wu.
[In] Xu there is hidden fire, [in] Chou there is hidden metal, autumn [with] fire winter [with] metal, hurt the myriad things.

gù tǔ jù chén wèi wéi guì  jù xū chǒu bù wéi guì  shì tǔ ài chén wèi ér bú ài chǒu xū shì yě  míng yǐ.
Thus, when earth assembles at chen [or] wei[,] it is a noble [earth], [whereas] at xu [or] chou is not a noble earth, it is obvious earth prefers chen [or] wei not chou xu.

ruò gēng wǔ xíng yǒu qì  rén mìng féng zhī tián chǎn wú bǐ  wǎn nián fù guì yōu yōu.
In case all of five element possess qi, [and] the man’s fate is blessed with incomparable massive area [of earth], the wealth and honor last for thousands years.

ruo tu tai shi wu shui, ze bu he rou, wu mu ze bu shu tong, tu jian huo ze jiao, nu ming duo bu sheng zhang.
If earth is too real without water, is not a gentle earth, earth without wood is not penetrate-able, [this type of] earth seeing fire becomes scorched, woman destiny cannot grow.

tǔ wàng sì jì, wéi xū tǔ kùn ruò, xū duō wéi rén hào dòu, duō kē shuì.
[Among] the four prosperous palace of Earth [i.e. Chen, Wei, Xu, and Chou], Xu earth is the only earth which is inferior, [in case of] excessive Xu makes a person argumentative, extremely sluggish.

chen wei ren hao shi.
Chen wei human has good food ???.

chǒu rén qīng shěng/xǐng, chǒu yǒu gèn tǔ, yǒu guǐ shuǐ, néng rùn ér gāo, rén mìng yù cǐ, zhǔ néng zhuó lì
At chou human has clear saving, ???.

2A
TBD.
TBD.

2B
TBD.
TBD.

2C
TBD.
TBD.

2D

chén xū chǒu wèi  sì tǔ zhī shén  wéi wèi tǔ jí wàng  hé yě?
Of the four Earth God of Chen – Xu – Chou – Wei, Wei is the most prosperous earth. Why?

chén tǔ dài mù qì kè zhī
Chen earth carries wood Qi controlling the earth.

chǒu xū zhī tǔ  dài jīn qì xiè zhī
Chou and Xu earth, both carries metal Qi exhausting the earth.

cǐ sān tǔ suī wàng  gù tǔ lín bǐ sān wèi  jīn duō zuò jià sè gé  bù shī zhōng hé
At chou human has clear saving, ???.

[Fourth Chapter - About Metal Geng Xin]

1
jin yi zhi yin wei ti, zhong han zhi yang zhi jing, nai neng jian gang, du yi zhong wu.
Metal [phase of the 5 element] even [when] arriving at yin [cycle: xin?] still has a form, thus contains the yang essence within, and [yin metal] [is still] able to be hard and strong, [because] the only different [with the yang metal: geng] is [only] the physical [aspect].

ruo du yin er bu jian, bing xue shi ye, yu yang ze xiao yi.
In case of Yin metal [i.e. Xin metal] doesn’t have form, [it is like] a wiped-away snow, in case of Yang metal [i.e. Geng metal] [does not have form] [it will] completely melting away.

gu jin bu lian bu cheng qi, ju jin wu huo, nan cheng pu zhi ming.
Thus, when metal is not forged[,] it is not usable, [when] metal accumulates together without fire, [it’s] hard to have fame and reputation.

jin zhong huo qing, zhi shi fan nan.
[When] metal is heavy [and] fire is light, involved in troublesome matters.

jin qing huo zhong, duan lian xiao wang.
[When] metal is light [and] fire is heavy, [the already] forged refined metal wither away and destroyed.

jin ji huo sheng, wei ge zui jing.
[When] metal is at the most extreme [and] fire is abundant, this pattern is the most superior.

jin huo quan ming zhu yin, fan chou zi ji wei sun mo.
Metal fire cast the resource, violate chou zi ???.

jin huo duo ming cheng xuan, yu si shuai fan wei bu li.
Metal fire ???, at dead and weak reverse the inauspicious.

Big fire melts metal, luck-achievement-[and] fame declines quickly.

chun jin cou shui, yu fu xian yi ying fu.
Pure metal produce water, ???.

jin neng sheng shui, shui wang ze jin chen.
Metal is capable of producing water, [however] when water is prosperous metal gets drowned.

tu neng sheng jin, jin gui ze tu jian.
Earth able produce metal, when metal is noble earth get humble [?].

jin wu shui gan ku, shui zhong ze chen lun wu yong.
Metal without water becomes dried up, [however] when water is heavy metal is drowned and unusable.

jin wu tu si jue, tu zhong ze mai mo bu xian.
Metal without earth will be dead [and] exhausted, [but] when earth is heavy metal gets buried [by earth][,] unable [to show its] shimmer.

liang jin liang huo zui shang, liang jin liang mu cai zu.
Two metals two fires is the most superior, two metal two wood wealth is sufficient.

yi jin sheng san shui, xu ruo nan sheng.
One metal grows three water, poor health and hard to excel.

yi jin de san tu, wan dun zi sun.
One metal get three earth, becomes blunt and dull and injured.

jin cheng ze huo mie, gu jin wei cheng qi yu de jian huo, jin yi cheng qi, bu yu jian huo.
When metal is completely forged fire gets extinguished, thus metal which has not been forged favors to see fire, while completely forged metal, does not favor to see fire.

jin dao shen you si chou yi ke wei zhi cheng ye, yun xi xi bei bu li nan fang.
Metal arrives at Shen You Si Chou [Geng Shen, Xin You, Xin Si, [and] Xin Chou] is a completely forged metal, good luck at west north detrimental at south.

2A

[Fifth Chapter - About Water Ren Gui]

tian qing xi bei, hai wei chu shui zhi fang, di xian dong nan, chen wei na shui zhi fu.
